Have you considered working with a Virtual Assistant?
One of my first clients was a local will writer, Nigel from Farsight Wills in Swindon. Nigel hadn’t worked with a Virtual Assistant (VA) before, but he knew he needed some support in order to concentrate his time on his ever expanding business. I asked him a few questions on how it is, working with me; his VA:
What were you struggling with / not enjoying in your business that led you to begin working with a virtual assistant?
I was drowning in paper work and not able to focus on pushing the business forward but didn’t want to go to the expense and commitment of another member of staff.
What tasks have you delegated and how have you found working virtually?
Catherine has taken on board a vast swathe of the administration side and also helped in designing new spreadsheets and templates.
How has working with a virtual assistant supported your business, and you personally?
The flexibility of virtual support has been key. My business can have a phenomenal amount of paperwork to deal with, often at times when I am already very busy. Having someone on hand to take the pressure off has been invaluable.
What differences have you noticed in your business since you started working with a virtual assistant?
It’s given me more time to work on developing the company. If I have other projects to deal with I know the core business is being looked after by someone who understands the necessary processes we have in place.
What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs seeking virtual assistance?
Give it a go, you have nothing to lose and potentially you and your business have a lot to gain.
